| About our program What does it mean to be a contemporary dancer, or a jazz dancer? Is it classical? Hip hop? Jazz is all these things. Hot and cold. Fast and slow. Traditional and modern. The studio is excited to welcome the experience and expertise of Terrance Henderson and McCree O'Kelley to the contemporary and jazz programs. Terrance and McCree teach our older students. This year, we will emphasize the development of contemporary dance, and your studio participants in the Youth America Grand Prix will be competing both in classical ballet and contemporary. Katie Crossland, a Columbia Ballet School graduate, is a dance education major at the University of South Carolina. She works primarily with our young dancers with jazz and hip hop. |
